Solution:

Let us assume that the third side of the triangle be X cm, then the second side will be 2X cm.

As we know that the perimeter of a triangle = Sum total of three sides.

X + 2X + 6 = 18

3X = 18 - 6

X = 12/3 = 4.

Sinec the third side = 4 cm, then the second side = 2X = 2 x 4 = 8 cm.

Ans: 4 cm and 8 cm.
