The main cause of wind movement is uneven heating on the earth.
Uneven heating of land and water: In the summer months, land heats up faster than the sea. The air above the land gets heated up and rises. This causes winds to blow from the sea to the land. In winters the direction of wind is reversed. Thus, it causes circulation of winds.
