The poem, `My mother at sixty-six' is very much notable in its absence of a full stop. What effect does the poet try to bring out with this styleof writing?

The fact that the poem is a single sentence rather than a paragraph, itself describes that the poem is a single thought of emotion going inside the head of the poet while she is leaving. She is sad and disappointed. She is sad because she knows that her mother is ageing and will soon leave her alone in this world and is disappointed because she has to leave her in such crucial time. She didn't know whether she will be able to see her mother again or not. Whole poem is on the idea that poet is scared because she has started noticing her mother losing her beauty, her strength, her skin colour which are all features of old age and she has realised that her mother has very less time and her death is approaching and she couldn't do anything in that.
