Solution:-

In the poem, the poet describes about a boy who is full of sorrow due to losing his precious ball. He was playing with his ball near a waterbody. However, the ball bounced over the fences into the waterbody. Therefore, he has lost the ball forever. There is no chance of recovering it. The ball is simply an analogy for things and persons that we love. The poet tries to explain that when we lose our loved ones and precious belongings, we must learn to cope with the loss. We must accept the reality and move forward in life. We cannot mourn endlessly at our loss. We mus learn to accept and let go.
