The primary of a transformer has 200 turns and the secondary has 1000 turns. if the power output from the secondary at 1000V is 9kW, calculate

a. the primary voltage     and

b. the heat loss in the primary coil if the resistance of primary is 0.2(ohm) if the efficiency of the transformer is 90%

Hi Mohit!

Solution to your problem is as follows:
(a) The relation between voltage drop in a coil, and number of turns in a coil is given as:

(b) The efficiency of the transformer is 90%

Input current=50A
The resistance of the primary winding=0.2Ω
Therefore, heat loss=I2R= (50A)2× 0.2Ω=500W

Cheers!!
