the rate of evaporation becomes maximum at its boiling point. why ?
no link please..

Dear Student

The rate of evaporation increases with the increase in the temperature of the liquid. We can also say, that in a liquid, the rate of evaporation increases on heating. This happens because, when the liquid is heated, this would definitely increase its temperature and thus, more particles gain sufficient kinetic energy to move into the gaseous or the vapour state. This becomes the reason for the increase in the rate of evaporation.
Hence, the rate of evaporation of a liquid can be increased by heating it and becomes maximum at its boiling point.
