The ratio of the total surface area of a solid hemisphere to the square of its radius is:

plz explain

The total surface area of a solid hemisphere = Area of curved surface + Area of circular base
= 2πr² + πr²
= 3πr²

and  square of the radius = r2

  • 0

 T.S.A. = 2 pie r2 = 2 x 22/7 x r x r

sq. of the radius = r2

since,

T.S.A. / sq. of radius

= 2 x 22/7 x r2 /r2

= 44/7 / 1

= 44:7
