The scale of a map is 1:2500000.What is the actual distance between two towns, if they are 3 cm apart on the map?

Given Scale = 1:2500000
By Unitary Method,
1 cm on map = 2500000 cm on land 
3 cm on map = 2500000 X 3 = 7500000 cm = $\frac{7500000}{100000}$ = 75 km on land(Ans.)
