The sex ratio is low and biased against females in india, china and Pakistan. Why

Dear Student

Yes, the sex ratio in the countries like India, China and Pakistan is low and biased which partially related with the present negative mindset and attitude towards women. Moreover, their secondary status in the society and the continuation of some female discriminating laws and policies contributes to the same.
Specifically, in the whole world, there are 3 countries only with the inverse sex ratio, ie., China, India and Pakistan. It is because of preference for sons which is considered as a prime reason for high population growth. Moreover, in case of Pakistan, figures are not properly stated (the severity of the condition is more in reality) due to the lack of transparency in some socially conservative areas like FATA, KP, and Balochistan.
In case of China, One-Family norm was adopted in the late 1970's in China. This was a major factor towards low population growth. Also, the fertility is very low in China. This norm also affected the sex ratio bringing down the number of females in proportion to males.
