The side of a square field is 16 m. What will be the increase in its area, if:
(I) each of its side is increased by 4
(II) each of its side is doubled
Each side measures = 16 m
in the first situation the length of the side will become 16 + 4= 20 so the perimeter will become 20 * 4 = 80 m the area will become 20 * 20 = 400 m sq.
in the second situation the length of the side will become 16*2= 32 so the perimeter will become 32* 4=128 m and the area will become 32 * 32=1024 m sq.
