The side wall of a budha park, painted in black color with a ' TO FOLLOW THE TRAFFIC RULES' . If the sifes of the wall are 5 cm, 6 cm and 7 cm respectively then solve tha following questions
(i) Find the area of the wall.
(ii) Which mathematical concept is used to solve this problem?
(iii) If we consider one side of a triangle be 1 m in place of 6 m, then whether we find out area ofnthe wall or not.
(iv) What message dpes the phrase 'TO FOLLOW THE TRAFFIC RULES' give to the society?

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Given : Sides of side wall of a Buddha park are 5 m, 6 m and 7 m respectively .

i ) We can find area of this triangular wall by using heron's formula :

Area of triangle  = ss -as -bs -c

Here s  = a + b + c2 and a  =   5  , b  = 6  and  c = 7

So ,

s  = 5 + 6 + 72 = 182 =  9 m
Then
Area of triangular wall  = 9  9 - 5  9 -6  9 - 7  = 9 × 4 × 3 ×2 = 216 = 14.696914.70  m2          ( Ans )

ii ) Here we used Heron's formula to solved given problem .

iii ) If we consider one side of a triangle be 1 m in place of 6 m, then

1 + 5 < 7  ,  That is not possible as we know in any triangle sum of any two sides is always greater than the third side .

So,

By taking 1 m in place of 6 m , So our dimension , 5 m , 1 m and 7 m  we can't construct any triangle so we can't find area .

iv ) Message does the phrase 'TO FOLLOW THE TRAFFIC RULES' give to the society is awareness regarding traffic rules.
