The sum of first two terms of an infinite G.P. is 5 and each terms is three times the sum of the succeeding terms. Find the G.P.

Hi!
Here is the answer to your question.

Let a be the first term and r the common ratio of the infinite G.P.
Then, a + ar = 5   … (1)

an = 3(an+1 + an+2 + an+3 + ……..)  [By given condition]
arn–1= 3(arn + arn+1 + arn+2 +…….)
Best Wishes!
