there is a little irony in ranga's statement in the begining when he says that he did not believe in arranged marriage. explain.

Dear student,

The irony lies in the fact that though Ranga had claimed that he does not believe in the concept of arranged marriage, he settles for an arranged match himself. Ratna was not the kind of a girl Ranga had imagined and had desired to settle down with but when he saw Ratna for the very first time, he fell for her and eventually married her.

Regards
