Tritium has a half life of 12.5 years against beta decay .What fraction of sample of pure tritium will remain undecayed after 25 years??

As we know that,

Using the relation,

the answer I suggest would be 25 % of the initial no. of samples...

the answer can be found out by the formula

no. of atoms decayed after 'n' half lives = N0 x (1/2)^n     where N0 is the inital no. of particles

In this case we cannot arrive to a numerical answer unless ,the initial no. of particles is given .
