Two bodies of different masses m1 and m2 (m1>m2) have same kinetic energy . They are stopped by applying some retarding force . Which body will stop first ?

Both blocks stop together.

Because  KE1 = KE2

There is need of same amount of work done by us to stop them.

So W1 = W2

=> F1 s1  = F2 s2

Here,  F1 = F2

Hence, s1 = s2

Distance covered by both blocks is same before stop.

 m2 will stop first becoz it's mass is less as compared to m1 .

m2 will stop first as it has less Ek and the force is retarding.
