if two different dice are thrown , the number of possible outcomes =

the number of outcomes when both the dice show same number = {(1, 1) , (2, 2), (3, 3), (4, 4), (5, 5), (6, 6)}

i.e.  6 outcomes

the number of outcomes getting different number on both dice = 36 - 6 = 30

the required probability =
