two towers of height28m and 36m are built at a distance of 15m. what is the distance between the tops of the towers??

Solution:

Height of one tower = 36 Mtrs.

Height of second tower = 28 mtrs., So the tower one is (36 - 28) = 8 Mtrs more high.

Distance between the two towers = 15 Mtrs.

The distance between thhe tops of two towers will be: Hypotenus =√(Base)2 + (Perpendicular)2

Here in the problem Base = 15 Mtrs., Perpendicular = 8 Mtrs.

So Hypotenus =√(Base)2+ (Perpendicular)2

H =√(15)2 + (8)2

H =√225 + 64 =√289 = 17 Mtrs.

Ans: 17 Mtrs.
