Types of cell

There can be various types of cells depending on the criteria selected for classification.
 

On the basis of presence of nucleus, it can be classified as prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell.

It can also be classified plant cell or animal cell.

Depending on the function that it performs it can be classified as nerve cell, blood cell, epithelial cell etc.
Taking about prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
The cells whose nuclear material is not enclosed within the nuclear membrane are prokaryotic cells. The cells whose nucleus is well organised and has nuclear membrane are eukaryotic cells.
