The wisest man was found and brought to court. The wisest man said that the crown fell off because it was the arch that hit the crown violently. Therefore, the verdict was that the real culprit was the arch and so the arch must be hanged. The arch was then led to the scaffold and was ultimately held responsible for the King’s disgrace.
