Unit of time occurs twice in unit of acceleration why?. Experts please answer this question.!!

Dear Student,
Rate of change of displacement is velocity.
v=dSdtwhere, dS is the displacement and dt is the time taken.
So, velocity involves one unit of time as m/s (SI system).

Acceleration is rate of change of velocity.
a=dvdt=ddtdSdt=d2Sdt2Thus,acceleration involves 2 units of time as m/s2 (SI system).

Calculating acceleration involves dividing velocity by time — or in terms of units, dividing meters per second [m/s] by second [s]. Dividing distance by time twice is the same as dividing distance by the square of time. Thus the SI unit of acceleration is the meter per second squared.
