Use of statistical methods are indispensable both in experiment and non experimental sciences. Why?
Dear Student,
Experimental sciences are usually concerned with testing a hypothesis in a controlled environment. In experimental sciences, many experiments rely on assumptions of a normal distribution of statistics. Also, statistics helps to figure out type-I and type-II errors in experiments and to eliminate them.
On the other hand, non-experimental sciences attempt to draw a conclusion from a situation using cause and effect relationship. In non-experimental sciences, statistics helps to in draw meaningful conclusions from the data.
