On a number line, a cat is at the point +3. It moves five steps towards its right and then twelve steps towards its left. Then, it again moves 3 steps to its right.

What is the final position of the cat on the number line?

Let A be the initial position ( point +3 )

Now the cat moves 5 steps towards right. Let B be the new position (Point +8   (3+5 =8))

Now cat moves 12 steps left . Let C be the position (point -4    (8-12 = -4))

Now cat moves 3 steps right. Let D be the position (point -1   (-4+3 =-1))

The final position of the cat is D and the cat is on point -1.
