Vacuole is a cell organelle used for storing waste?
My teacher says vacuole is not an organelle . is it ?

Dear Student,

Vacuoles are storage sacs or organelles found in cell which store various substances like water, wasteful products both solid and liquid etc. They are usually large and more in number in plant cells than in animal cells. They are of various types and also help in throwing out waste substances from the cell or trapping food particle for the cell like in Amoeba.

P.S. Vacuoles are organelles. In fact, they may be the largest of the organelles in Plant cells in many cases.
