- India is the land of people of diverse religions, traditions and castes. The diverse colours of India are its cultures, traditions and religions. It is the land of rich vegetation and wildlife.
- India is a vast country with second highest population in the world. People with different castes, creed, colour, cultures and customs live in harmony in this India. It is a perfect example of unity in diversity.
- In India, we celebrate many different festivals like Diwali, Holi, Navratri, Ramzan, Christmas etc. each festival has its religious and cultural importance.
- The National bird of India is the peacock, which has a very colourful and beautiful tail. The national flower of India is Lotus. Lotus comes in many colours, white and pink being the most common. The National animal of India is the Royal Bengal tiger. It is very powerful and majestic to look at.
- People are called Punjabi, Kashmiri, Marathi, Gujarati, but they are proud to say that they are Indians. We are proud to be the citizens of India and it is our responsibility to maintain its unique characteristic.
