Voice in mammals produced (a) By syrinx ' (b) By bronchus (c) During inhalation (d) During exhalation.explain the answers with reason as possible.

Dear student

Kindly refer the solution below of the said query

The correct option is d.

During exhalation, the lungs push air out that creates air stream in trachea. This air stream vibrates the vocal cords when it pass through the larynx leading to the production of sound. This sound is then converted into meaningful talk by the help of lips, tongue. The stronger the flow of air through larynx, the stronger will be the voice produced.

  1. Bronchi (singular bronchus) are the two branches of trachea that lead to left and right lungs.
  2. Syrinx is the vocal organ present in birds to produce sound.
  3. The inhalation does not produce sound in mammals.
