Want more information about light shadows and reflection regarding lateral inversion

Reflection:
The process of sending back the light rays which fall on the surface of an object, is called reflection of light.
Shadow:
Shadow is an area where direct light from a light source cannot reach due to obstruction by an object. Shadows are formed behind an opaque object, when it is placed in front of a light source. Shadows form when something comes into the path of light through which light rays couldn 't pass as light travels in straight line. And then it forms the shadow. Shadow is that part of object which does not allow light to pass through it that is why it seems dark but the light from the edges of object pass. And this is the reason it forms on the opposite side of the light source.
Lateral inversion:
When an object is placed in front of a plane mirror, then the right side of object appears to become the left side of image and the left side of object appears to become the right side of image. This phenomenon of change of sides of an object and its mirror image is called lateral inversion.

LIGHT-
It always travels in a straight line
SHADOWS-
They r always black in colour. They do not tell us correctly what an object is.
REFLECTION-
They tell us correctly what an object is.We can see our reflection in mirrors, water etc.
