WATER  IS  A  RENEWABLE  RESOURCE  THEN  WHY  THERE  IS  SHORTAGE  OF  WATER!!!!!

water present on earth in unlimited quantity is salt water or sea water, which can 't be used for puposes such as drinking, bathing, cooking, etc. So, fresh water is required of all purposes which we get from groundwater, rainwater, freshwater lakes.

Groundwater--- is depleting due to excess use and no time to replenish.

Rainwater--- is getting polluted due to fumes present in atmosphere released by factories and industries.

freshwater lakes--- is not present everywhere.

normal lakes--- is contaminated by sever water and factory wastes.

rivers--- same as normal lakes.
