Water is flowing at the rate of 10km/hr through a pipe of diameter 16cm into a cuboidal tank of dimensions 22m x 20m x 16m. How long will it take to fill the empty tank? [use pi= 22/7](explain with the steps pls!)

Hope! This will help you.

See I tell you a very easy way to solve these type of questions in which rate of flow of water is given. Assume that the volume of the container is equal to the volume of the pipe. (assume pipe is very long)

Let the time taken be x hrs. So in x hours the water would travel 10x kms. Assume that 10x kms. is the length of the pipe.

Volume of Tank = Volume of Pipe
22m X 20m X 16m = 22/7 X 8cm X 10x km
Let us make the units same.
22 X 20 X 16 = 22/7 X 8/100 X 10x X 1000  (we have changed the units to m)
22 X 20 X 16 = 22/7 X 8 X 10x X 10
x = (22 X 20 X16 X 7) / (22 X 8 X 100)
x = 14/5 hours or 168 minutes
