Water is flowing at the rate of 10km/hr through a pipe of diameter 16cm into a cuboidal tank of dimensions 22m * 20m * 16m. How long it will take to fill the empty tank? [use pi = 22/7]

Hi Rida!
Here is the answer to your query.

 Volume of cylinder= 22/7*r2h

Volume of the cylindrical pipe= 22/7*16/2*16/2*h=1408h/7

Given, speed of the water flowing in the pipe= 10 km/h= 25m/9 sec

Distance= Speed *Time

So, Distance, i.e. the length of pipe= 25m/9sec*time

Now, volume of the cuboidal tank= 22*20*16= 7040 m3

Therefore, 1408/7*25t/9= 7040m3

35200t= 443520

t= 443520/35200

=12.6 seconds

Therefore it'll take 12.6 seconds to fill the empty tank.

I think dis is the answer. I'm not sure...
