Water is sprayed in orange grooves in very cold countries during winter .give reasons.

This is done to keep the plant / fruit from cooling , when winter reaches , to the temperature to that of the cold air.
This process will eventually lead to release in the energy (from changing state of water i.e, from water to ice) which prevents the crop from the effects of cold weather.
