Good morning respected madam, teachers and my dear friends. I, XYZ am here to speak on the importance of water conservation. Can you imagine a day without water? You can? Then it means that the importance of water is lost. Despite water being an existential need for humans, it’s also one of the most under-prioritised and over abused commodity. We have all been blessed by God as we are abundant in our resources that we forget that water can disappear if we continue using it carelessly.
It affects every continent, around 2.8 billion people around the world and more than 1.2 billion people lack access to clean drinking water.We have to put ourselves in their shoes to understand the immense significance of water.Some scientists even say that the third world war will be fought on the issue of water. In places like sub-Saharan Africa, time lost gathering water and suffering from water-borne diseases is limiting people's true potential, especially women and girls.
Education is lost to sickness. Economic development is lost when people are merely trying to survive. But it doesn't have to be like this, it's needless suffering.Water scarcity has also been common in certain regions in India, soon it will be a common nightmare for the world. It is our priority to conserve water, we are responsible for the depletion of this valuable resource. Hence let us all strive to make water abundant again.
