simple winnowing is a teknik in which it needs wind if their will be no wind or moving air then the hevier substance will fall the ground and the part which is need to be seprated which is lighter it will also fall on the havier substance so they will not be seprated.

no. winnowing cannot be dne if there is no moving air or wind because the husk is separated from the grain because it is lighter and can be carried away by wind but if there is no wind, it may also fall down and be mixed by the grain.
