We feel pain while doing straneous exercise because of Anaerobic respiration. We also get some pain while sitting in a particular position for a long time even though we breathe more. Why we feel pain in this case ?

Dear Student,

After sitting in a particular position for a long time, we may get back pain due to the continuous pressure against the back wall of the lumbar disc. This mostly is due to sitting in a bad posture when the spine assumes a C- bend and increases the intradiscal pressure, instead of the S- bend.
Sitting for a long time may also cause pain in the neck and shoulders as the cervical vertebrae temporary sets in that imbalance and when you move that part, it tries to adjust and lead to neck strain, sore shoulders and back pain.
Sitting for a long time may also cause pain near the kneecap which when not positioned rightly in its groove may rub against the bone behind it. and cause friction between them as well the joint will not get lubrication from the Synovial fluid and causes knee pain.
Sitting in a particular position for a long time also can cause a blood to clot at that particular place and stop a part of the blood circulation which can cause breathing problem.
