Yes we have p-pi - d-pi bond also. This is called back bonding. Back bonding is decided by the orbitals of the central atom and the surrounding atom which is involved in the particular bond formation. For ex., In BBr3.
In BBr3, the B has configuration of 1s22s22p1 and Br has configuration of [Ar] 4s2 3d10 4p5. So the back bonding occur between B and Br is between 2p and 3d orbital
