What about Accountancy Project? Is there CBSE guidelines about the project? What is the topic of the Project, and how to make it?

We thank you for letting us know your need. However, presently we do not provide any Accountancy Projects. Though, we will be working on it soon in the near future.

Here, is the basic idea around which you should build your accountancy project.

Objective of Study - To have a comparative study of the profitability and financial position of the two different firms (companies) in the same industry.

For this purpose, you can collect the financial statements of any two companies from their respective website. After this, you can employ various tools of Ratio Analysis such as, Profitability Ratios, Solvency Ratios and Liquidity Ratios, etc. to conduct a comparison between the two companies. In this segment, you can add value to your project by including lots of graphs, bar-graphs, histograms, pie-charts, difference in tabular form for different tools and parameters such as Net Profit Ratio, Debtors Turnover Ratios, Current Ratio, Debt-Equity Ratios (of the two companies).

Conclusion - Finally, you can end your study by concluding which of the two company is more financially strong and which one is a more profitable venture for the potential investors.

Important Points for Project

While preparing the project, remember to include the following pointers:

  1. Introduction about the topic.
  2. Aim and Objective of the project.
  3. Literature Review (a brief overview of the two companies which should revolve around your objective of study)
  4. Resources/Materials required
  5. Research Methodology (stating different accountancy tools such as Ratio Analysis employed in the study)
  6. Observation and Analysis of the observation.

  8. Further Application of the project.

Yes, CBSE has issued certain guidelines for your Project Work which you can go through at CBSE's official website. You may decide between the Comprehensive Project or the Ratio Analysis & Cash Flow Statement Project in consultation with your accountancy teacher. The topic depends upon the choice of project made by you. Therefore, we advice you to select the project, co-ordinate with your respective teacher and stick to the directions given in your school.
