What are differences between co-ordination of internal human eye response to light and tropic movement of flowering plants in response to light

Dear Student

Light falling in the human eye is coordinated by pupil. The amount of light entering the eye is controlled by a reflex action. The size of the pupil changes in response to bright or dim light. This is controlled by the muscles of the iris.

Auxins are the hormones responsible for phototropism, the growth of a plant towards the light. In plant shoots, the role of auxin is to cause a positive phototropism, i.e. to grow the plant towards the light. When light is incident on a plant from one direction, it causes the auxins to redistribute towards the shaded side of the plant.

Coordination of light in human eye and flowering plants are totally different processes which cannot be compared.
