What are fractions and decimal

Dear student,

A Fraction defined as the part of the whole thing.
A fraction has two parts, namely numerator and denominator. The number on the top is called the numerator, and the number on the bottom is called the denominator. The numerator defines the number of equal parts taken, whereas the denominator defines the total number of equal parts in a whole. The denominator cannot be equal to 0.
For example, a pizza is divided into four equal pieces, then each piece is represented by 14 here numerator is 1 and denominator is 4.
Decimals are one of the types of numbers, which has a whole number and the fractional part separated by a decimal point. The dot present between the whole number and fractions part is called the decimal point.
For example, 34.5 is a decimal number.
