Heat zones of the earth are the three significantly different temperature zones of the earth. These were first categorized by Greek Scholar Aristotle. Although some of Aristotles hypothesis about heat zones have been proved incorrect, the very existence of heat zones is accepted by scientists world over.Heat Zones of the EarthThe three major heat zones of the earth are Temperate zone, the Torrid Zone and the Frigid Zone. These are based on the distance they have from equator. However these can be reclassified as* The North Frigid Zone, lies north of the Arctic Circle* The North Temperate Zone, which lies between the Arctic Circle and the Tropic of Cancer* The Torrid Zone, lies between the Tropical Circles* The South Temperate Zone, which lies between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Circle* The South Frigid Zone, lies to the south of the Antarctic Circle

1: Torrid zone
2: Temperate zone
3: Frigid zone
If the question is of 1 marks then you need to write the above lines and if the question is of 3 or more marks then you have to explain . See the lines below
On the basis of the intensity of heat received by the sun , the earth has been divided into three heat zones .
1 Torrid zone - the mid - day sun is exactly overhead at least once a year on all the latitudes in between tropic of cancer and the tropic of Capricorn . This area ,therefore it receives the maximum heat and is known as the Torrid zone .
2 Temperate zone - the mid-day sun never shines overhead on any latitude beyond the tropic of cancer and the tropic of Capricorn . The areas bounded by the tropic of cancer and the arctic circle in the northern hemisphere, and the tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic circle in the southern hemisphere, have a moderate temperatures. these are , therefore, called as the temperate zones .
3 Frigid zone - area lying between the arctic circle and the north pole in the southern hemisphere and the antarctic circle and the south pole in the southern hemisphere always receives slanting rays of the sun and the gets less heat . These are therefore, known as the frigid zones .
IF YOUR TEACHER HAS TOLD YOU THE SAME THEN ONLY YOU CAN WRITE IT , IF NOT THEN KINDLY LEARN WHATEVER YOUR TEACHER HAVE TOLD YOU . OTHERWISE YOU CAN LOSS YOUR MARKS

1.torrid zone it is between the tropic of cancer and Capricorn or in the equator the temperature there is extremely hot there is more defination for this but I cannot say the whole
2.temperate zone is above and below the torrid zone and the climate is moderate there.
3. Frizid zone the climate is extremely cold and it lies between the poles and tropic of cancer and tropic of Capricorn.

1. Torrid zone
2. Temperature zone
3. Frigid zone
Torrid zone= It is the most hottest zone because it receives direct rays from the Sun.
Temperate zone= It is neither the hottest nor the coldest zone because it receives slanting rays of the Sun.
Frigid zone= It is the most coldest zone because it receives minimum amount of Sunlight and this portion of the earth receives the slanting rays of Sunlight.
