what are inguinal canal?
- Inguinal canal is an oblique passage through the lower abdominal wall.
- In males, it is the passage through which the testes descend into the scrotum and it contains the spermatic cord. The epididymis leads to vas deferens that ascends to the abdomen through inguinal canal and loops over the urinary bladder.
- In females it is not much prominent and transmits the round ligament of the uterus.
