WHAT ARE MIGRATORY BIRDS? GIVE  AN EXAMPLE

 Migratory birds are those species of birds, which undertake regular seasonal journey in a particular season perhaps. Bird movements include those made in response to changes in food availability, habitat or weather. Sometimes, journeys are not termed "true migration" because they are irregular (nomadism, invasions, irruptions) or in only one direction (dispersal, movement of young away from natal area). Migration is marked by its annual seasonality. In contrast, birds that are non-migratory are said to be resident or sedentary. Approximately 1800 of the world's 10,000 bird species are long-distance migrants. EG:- THE SIBERIAN CRANE. Interestingly, The Kaladeo Ghana National Park or the Bharatpur National Park has been declared a world heritage site because the Siberian Crane traverses nearly half of the globe to reach it.

birds which moves from place to place in search of food and shelter are known as migratory birds ex.siberian crane

• the arctic tern is a sea bird which travels from the north pole to the south pole each year.
