Nutrients are components of food, it is essential for us to be alive. Some important nutrients are:-
* Carbohydrates- Also known as energy giving food. Ex:- Rice, chocolate.
* Fats- Gives more energy than carbohydrates but should be consumed in limit. Ex:- Ghee, butter.
* Protein- Also known as body building food. Ex:- Fish, chicken.
* Vitamins- Also known as protective food. Ex:- Green leafy vegetables.
* Minerals- Essential for carrying various life processes. Ex:- Magnesium and calcium.
