what are plasmodesmatal connections?
Dear Student,
You must be knowing that the cell wall is the rigid outer covering that envelops the plant cell. But the plasmodesmata are not wholly rigid, they have tiny pores at the corners. Plasmodesmata are tiny pores present on the cell wall of plant cell. Plasmodesmatal connections are the connections of cytoplasms of neighbouring cells established through the plasmodesmata. The plant cells exchange small molecules with their neighboring cells through these plasmodesmatal connections.
Hope this helps to clear your doubt,
Cheers!!
