What are terminal bones?
Dear student,
There is generally no such term as terminal bones.
Out of different parts of a bone(metaphysis, diaphysis and epiphysis), Epiphysis constitute the terminal parts.
Distal epiphysis -It is the enlarged terminal part of the bone, that is farthest from the centre of the body, and is made of spongy tissue and articulating with neighbouring bones.
Proximal epiphysis - It is the enlarged terminal part of the bone, that is nearest the centre of the body, and is made of spongy tissue and articulating with neighbouring bones.
