What are the advantages of high specific heat of water?

Since water has high heat capacity it means, water can contain more heat with less rise in temperature.

1. This means water can remain in liquid state in a long range of temperature which is indispensable for life on earth.
2. High heat capacity of water makes it as a temperature moderator of the planet. Land lose heat fast because of low heat capacity. But sea lose heat late because of its high heat capacity the heat from sea compensates for low land temperature . Thus the places near sea has got moderate temperature.
3. It causes sea breeze.
