Air is a mixture of gases .The composition of the air and the persentage of various gases are given below :-

NITROGEN -78%

OXYGEN -21%

MIXTURE OF GASES -1% [Carbon Dioxide -0.03%, Argon -0.9%,

Water Vapour, Dust etc ...]

Air is a mixture of gases. It contains mainly nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%). It also contains carbon dioxide,noble gases,dust particles and traces of other gases(1%).
