what are the four applications of elasticity with is explaination....?????

can any one answer this as early as possible plzzzz it's so urgent.

Dear Student!!

1. The metallic part of the machinery are never subjected to a stress beyond elastic limit, otherwise they will get deformed permanently. 

2. The thickness of the metallic rope used in the crane are decided by keeping in mind the elastic limit of the material and the maximum weight to be lifted. 

3. The bridges are designed in such away that they do not bend much or break under the load of heavy traffic blowing wind. 

4. The maximum height of a mountain on the earth can be estimated from the elastic behavior of the earth.
