what are the function of the cloud or rain

In the poem, the poet uses clouds and rains to describe how poetry or songs are formed. The rain rises intangibly out of the sea and floats up to the sky, where it forms as a cloud. Then it falls back to earth in order to replenish it and allows new birth. The poet equates the function of the rain to a poet's role in crafting his 'song'. Just like the rain is formed through seas, the song is formed in the poet's heart. Even though it changes form after leaving the poet's soul, it retains it's core and eventually returns to the poet through reader's love and appreciation.
