what are the functions of  lysosomes?????????????

rn

please i want urgently.

1) Help in intracellular digestion

2)Provide energy during starvation

3)Bring about cellular breakdown during aging

Inside a cell, numerous organelles function to remove wastes. One of the key organelles involved in digestion and waste removal is the lysosome. Lysosomes are organelles that contain digestive enzymes. They digest excess or worn out organelles, food particles, and engulfed viruses or bacteria.

Function

Cells produce waste like all living things. The lysosomes are the garbage disposals of the cell. When a part of the cell becomes damaged or obsolete, it is moved to the outer edge of the lysosome. The membrane of the lysosome opens and the molecule is moved into the lysosome. Once inside, the digestive enzymes produced by the lysosome break down the molecule. After it is has been completely broken down, the lysosome opens to release the remains back into the cell in the form of a vesicle that the cell can expel through its membrane

Hope it may help you

A lysosome has three main functions:
The breakdown/digestion of macromolecules (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids),
Cell membrane repairs and
Responses against foreign substances such as bacteria, viruses and other antigens.

Lysosomes engulf the pathogens and secrete juices to destroy the pathogens. Therefore lysosomes play a very important role in keeping the the cell away from pathogens.

FUNCTION OF LYSOSOME
  • LYSOSOME HELP TO KEEP THE CELL CLEAN BY DIGESTING DEAD AND WARN OUT. CELL ORGANELLES, FOREIGN MATERIALS LIKE BACTERIA, OR FOOD. SO, IT FORM WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM OF THE CELL
  • IT IS ALSO CALLED SCAVENGER OF THE CELL BY ITS ONE OF THE MOST FUNCTION. THAT IS , CLEAN THE DEAD PARTS OF THE CELL.
  • IT IS ALSO CALLED THE SUICIDAL BAG OF THE CELL BECAUSE WHEN CELL GET DAMAGED OR DISTURBANCE IN CELLULAR METABOLISM, LYSOSOME MAY BURST AND THE ENZYME DIGEST COMPLETE CELL
SO, THAT ARE THE FUNCTIONS OF LYSOSOME .

Lysosomes are membrane -bound sacs filled of digestive enzymes.the main function of lysosomes are to keep the cell clean .all foreign material like microns and virus and worn out cell organelles end up her.lysosomes are able to do this because they contain powerful digestive enzymes made by rough endoplasmic reticulum.when the cell get damaged lysosomes may brust and enzymes digest there own cell

A lysosome is a membrane-bound cell organelle that contains digestive enzymes. Lysosomes are involved with various cell processes. They break down excess or worn-out cell parts. They may be used to destroy invading viruses and bacteria.

They remove worn out and poorly working cellular organelles by digesting them to make way for their new replacement.

Lysosomes are membrane- bound sac filled with digestive enzymes. This enzymes are made by RER. Lysosomes are a kind of waste disposal system of the cell . This kind of waste disposal system of the cell. This help to keep the cell clean by digesting any foreign material as well as worn out cell organelles .
