What are the functions of the tear gland, sweat gland and the sebaceous gland?

GLANDS  THEIR FUNCTIONS
1. Tear gland or lacrimal gland It secretes tear which helps in lubrication of eye. Tears prevent drying of eye and entry of germ inside the eyes.
2. Sweat gland It regulates the body temperature, when the sweat from the body evaporates it provide the cooling effect on the skin thus maintain the body temperature at times when the temperature outside is high. It also removes excessive salts present in the body.
3. Sebaceous gland These glands secretes oily substance called sebum, it lubricates the skin and hairs and prevents them from getting dried.

tear gland (lacrimal gland) = this gland is located between eyeball and eyebrow inside the skin . It secretes tears and provides nourishment to the eye
sweat gland = this gland is located in second layer of the skin (dermis) . it secretes sweat which regulates the temperature of the body .
sebaceous glands (oil glands) = thus gland is also located in the second layer of the skin (dermis). it secretes oily liquids and releases them onto the hair                                                        follicles (present in skin) . this oil lubricates and softens the skin .
