what are the functions performed by cell?

A cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all living organisms. Many cells get together to form a tissue. Different tissues form an organ and then an organ system which ultimately forms an entire organism. 

So, the function of different cells in the body varies as per the function that it needs to perform due to which the organisms survives.
